Chiefs Signing Le’Veon Bell Gains Traction After Patrick Mahomes & Star RB Follow Each Other On Twitter (TWEETS)
According to ESPN reporter Jeremy Fowler, league sources are expecting the Kansas City Chiefs to do their homework and check in on free agent running back Le’Veon Bell after the New York Jets suddenly released him this week.
That interest gained a ton of more traction on Wednesday after Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes and Le’veon Bell suddenly followed each other on Twitter.
Social media noticed it and went crazy.
Bell was allowed to hit free agency after the Jets released him on Tuesday. The team had placed him on the trading block, but his contract prohibited any team from making a legitimate offer there.
Bell averaged just 3.3 yards per carry and rushed for 863 yards in 17 games for the Jets after signing a $52 million contract in the spring of 2019.
