76ers Taking The Court With Just Seven Players Is The Strangest (And Funniest) Thing You’ll See All Day (VIDEO)

Everyone knew this NBA season would be different. We knew there would be empty stands and cancelled games. And we also knew that there would be instances where certain clubs would be forced to play shorthanded…

With all that being said, it was still awfully strange to watch the Philadelphia 76ers take the court today for their matinee contest against the Denver Nuggest with just seven players.

That player dancing around and pumping up the empty stadium? That would be Dwight Howard. He, along with Danny Green, Tyrese Maxey, Tony Bradley, Isaiah Joe, Dakota Mathias and Paul Reed, are the only seven players available for the Sixers today.

The team is missing Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons due to injuries, while Seth Curry is out following a positive Covid test, and Vincent Poirier, Matisse Thybulle and Tobias Harris are all out as a result of the league’s coronavirus health and safety measures–due to close contact with Curry.
