Steve Smith Blasts Ravens’ ‘Elementary School’ Offense, Calls for Greg Roman To Be Fired (VIDEO)

The Baltimore Ravens’ offensive performance on Saturday has come under fire from one of the team’s former wide receivers, Steve Smith.

For the second year in a row, Baltimore had the No. 1 scoring offense in the NFL under quarterback Lamar Jackson and offensive coordinator Greg Roman, but they also fell flat in the playoffs for the 2nd-straight playoffs as well.

After losing 17-3 to the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Divisional Playoffs, the WR turned NFL Network analyst criticized Baltimore’s passing scheme and Roman’s route combinations.

“Greg Roman is a fantastic coordinator. However, that fantastic coordinator needs to start looking for a job somewhere else, because I believe that his time has expired on this offense here,” Smith said. “You want Lamar Jackson to continue to be a stellar quarterback, an MVP-type of quarterback, you have to implement a second notch or a third-level of the passing game that makes it a little bit more complicated.”

Jackson completed 14-of-24 passes for 162 yards and would leave the game for god after being placed in the concussion protocol.
