I absolutely love Steve Gleason’s sense of humor.

Back in January of this year marked a somber but uplifting anniversary for the New Orleans Saints legend as it was the 10th-anniversary of him being diagnosed with ALS.

He has never let his diagnosis deter him and he showed off his sense of humor with an incredible tweet about getting rained on and what his wife does for him.

“Another super dope perk of this life… After I get rained on, I get ‘blow jobs’ from my wife. Thank you ALS!”

As expected, Twitter loved it:

Gleason is most remembered for his blocked punt against the Falcons the night the Superdome reopened following Hurricane Katrina in 2006.

Following his retirement from the NFL, Gleason was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s Disease on Jan. 15, 2011.

He was originally given two to five years to live. Fast forward to 2021 and he is still with us.

Last year, Gleason was awarded the congressional medal of freedom for his humanitarian work.
