Today was a very special day for Tom Brady.
It was on this day in 2000 that he heard his name being called during the sixth round of the NFL Draft. Nobody had a clue to what he would become or even still be playing in the league right now.
Brady had to wait until six quarterbacks and 198 players were taken ahead of him to hear his name called. The New England Patriots gave him a chance at pick No. 199 and it worked out perfectly for both sides.
Brady reacted to the 21st anniversary of his pro career by cracking a hilarious joke on Twitter:
Brady would finally leave the Patriots last offseason and take his talents to the Tampa Bay Bucs. It worked out well immediately as Brady won Super Bowl LV last year. His next challenge will be trying to lead Tampa Bay to back-to-back championships.
