Seattle Seahawks Release Statement On Aldon Smith Being Wanted On Second-Degree Battery Charge
Just days after Aldon Smith signed with the Seattle Seahawks, he is back in the news for all the wrong reasons.
The defensive end returned to the league last year for the Dallas Cowboys after being reinstated following four years out of the league.
Following that season, Smith signed with the Seattle Seahawks, who officially announced the acquisition on April 15.
Days later, he has a warrant for his arrest on a second degree battery charge. According to the bulletin, the alleged battery occurred at the French Press Coffee House.
A few hours later, the Seattle Seahawks released a statement:
Details of Smith’s one-year deal with Seattle aren’t known.
He started all 16 games for the Cowboys after signing a one-year, $4 million contract. He had five sacks.
