Tom Brady appears to be an NFL uniform purist.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers star wrote in an Instagram story that the league’s decision to relax some uniform rules is “going to make for a lot of bad football.”

“Good luck trying to block the right people now!” Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady posted on Instagram. “[G]oing to make for a lot of bad football.”

That was just the tip of the iceberg as he would take to his Instagram story again to continue too openly mock the rule change.

“Why not let the lineman wear whatever they want too? Why have numbers? Just have colored jerseys…why not wear the same number?…DUMB”

On Wednesday, NFL owners approved a proposal to widen the uniform numbers available to multiple positions.

For example, running backs, wide receivers and tight ends can wear anything from Nos. 1-49 and Nos. 80-89. Defensive backs can go with Nos. 1-49.
