Patrick Mahomes vs. Aaron Rodgers in the Super Bowl needs to happen, but his anger with the Green Bay Packers may lead him to being traded to a team that plays in the same division as the Kansas City QB. Tom Brady may have all the rings, but Rodgers and Mahomes are the quarterbacks every other team is trying to find.
The 37-year-old is reportedly unhappy with his lack of involvement in personnel decisions, specifically the selection of QB Jordan Love in last year’s draft.
NFL analyst, Rich Eisen, claimed that Rodgers would be happy to join the Broncos and be in Patrick Mahomes’ division.
“I heard he’d happily go to Denver because they’ve got the weapons,” Eisen said. “He doesn’t care that it’s in Mahomes’ division. He would actually love to personally beat Mahomes.
Eisen added, “He would love to send Mahomes to the Wildcard every single year. This is what I’ve been told.”
Over the last decade, the Green Bay Packers have shown that they refuse to draft offensive talent in the first round to help Rodgers.
Here are the Packers’ last 10 first-round draft selections by position:
2012: Defensive end
2013: Defensive end
2016: Defensive tackle
2017: Traded out, picked cornerback in 2nd-round
2019: Defensive end, safety
Now, you can see why Rodgers is so mad.
