The Orlando Magic have zero chance of securing LeBron James in free agency or even trying to get him in a trade. We know this because he said so.
As you know, the NBA had to finish up their regular season and playoffs in Orlando, Florida due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The Los Angeles Lakers beat the Miami Heat in six games to win their 17th championship in franchise history.
According to Lakers Finals MVP LeBron James, he still has a little PTSD anytime he hears the name Orlando. During a sneak peek into the latest episode of HBO’s The Shop with Maverick Carter, Jay-Z, Nneka Ogwumike, Bad Bunny, and Paul Rivera — LeBron could be speaking on the city after Bad Bunny shared his appearance with the WWE.
“I mean, that’s part of the reason I haven’t taken my daughter to Disney World. You gotta understand anytime I hear Orlando right now, I get PTSD. I was in a bubble for 95 days,” said James.
Maverick Carter followed that statement up with the question ‘Orlando has no chance in free agency?’
LeBron James: “They have no chance.”
Maverick Carter: If he gets traded to Orlando?
LeBron James: “I’m not going”
Maverick Carter: “I’m just retired! It’s over!
LeBron James: It’s over with!
It likely wouldn’t happen anyway since he has at least two more seasons with the team after signing a two-year, $85 million extension last December.
