This is not what the Ravens and their fan base wants to see or hear.
On Friday, it was reported that Baltimore cornerback Jimmy Smith was carted off the field with a lower leg injury with less than an hour left of practice. Smith reportedly tried to break up a pass attempt for tight end Mark Andrews.
After practice ended, coach John Harbaugh said it was “too early to tell” the extent of the injury for the 33-year-old veteran.
Back in December, the Ravens and Smith agreed to a 1-year deal.
In 2020, Smith has appeared in 11 games for the Ravens and recorded 27 total tackles, one sack, no interceptions and one pass defense.
