Around this time of the year, no NFL player wants to get cut from a squad and have to start all over with a new team, and that’s if they get another chance with somebody else.
For Arden Key, when he got word that he was being released by the Las Vegas Raiders, it was the best day of his life.
“To be honest I wanted to get out of there. I was more happy than surprised. I wish it happened a little earlier, but hey, I got what I wanted,” Key admitted while speaking to reporters on Sunday morning.
Key further explained what he disliked about the Raiders.
“It was just bad. It was bad all around. Bad system, not the right fit, it had to get out,” he explained.
The former LSU Tigers star had been with the Raiders since 2018.
He is now happy as a member of the San Francisco 49ers.
In 2020, Key appeared in 14 games and recorded 15 tackles, two tackles for loss and no sacks.
