Sha’Carri Richardson went from one of the most loved track stars to one of the most trolled and disliked in a matter of weeks.

The dislike only got worse last month when the U.S. sprinter failed to impress in her highly-anticipated return to the track, finishing last in the women’s 100 meters at the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene, Oregon.

Richardson after the race: “This is one race. I’m not done. Count me out if you want to … Talk all the shit you want to! You know what I can do!”

After being quiet for a few days, she returned to social media and got the hate machine up again after she posted a photo that said she was choosing ‘violence.’

The reactions:

If it means anything, Justin Gatlin recently said Sha’Carri Richardson has run 10.50 seconds in practice and she is without a doubt the next super star in American sprinting.

“You know what it feels like to celebrate and win. Now you know what it feels like to lose on the big stage too. She’s capable of running 10.5. I’ve seen her do it at practice,” Gatlin, the 2004 Olympic gold medalist and four-time world champion, told Chris Chavez in a Prefontaine Classic interview.

“To watch it is almost like, as being a male athlete, you still in awe because, you see the numbers put out there. I have never seen a female athlete do it.

“And to be honest, not taking anything away from Shelly-Ann [Fraser-Pryce] and Elaine for what they have done, but she is the most amazing training partner I have ever had. She is just awe in practice,” Gatlin added.

Richardson owns a personal best of 10.72 seconds for the 100m and is the sixth-fastest woman in history.
