On Thursday, the Pittsburgh Steelers gave their fan base huge news by finally signing star pass rusher T.J. Watt to a longterm contract.
Pittsburgh made Watt the highest-paid defensive player in the league with a massive four-year, $112 million deal. This contract will pay Watt $28.003 million per year and includes $80 million guaranteed at signing.
Aside from his excitement was his fiance, Dani Rhodes, who plays professional soccer in Iceland. She took to Instagram and posted a message for her soon-to-be husband.
“Hardest working person I know. There is no one more deserving. Congratulations babe. I’m so beyond proud of you. I love you and can’t wait to celebrate soon!”
In 2020, Watt appeared in 15 games for the Steelers and recorded 53 tackles, 15 sacks, one interception, two forced fumbles, and seven pass defenses.
