For the second time this year, Luis Pena has been arrested for beating up a woman.
Pena, who also goes by the moniker “Violent Bob Ross”, was arrested on Saturday in Florida on misdemeanor charges of domestic violence and battery, with a $1000 bond on the battery charge.
The Brownard Sheriff’s office released the below statement to MMAJunkie.com: “At approximately 12:34 a.m., Broward Sheriff’s Office Deerfield Beach deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call near the 200 block of Southeast 12th Avenue in Deerfield Beach.
On scene, deputies made contact with multiple subjects, and Luis Antonio Peña was later detained and taken into custody. Peña was transported to BSO Main Jail and faces one count simple battery and one count domestic violence battery (both misdemeanor). The investigation continues.”

Following his latest arrest, the UFC acted quickly and released him from the roster, according to TMZ.
“The UFC tells us they informed 28-year-old Pena’s management team that his contract with the promotion has been terminated.
“UFC is aware of the disturbing allegations concerning the recent arrest of Luis Pena. Mr. Pena has been open about his struggles with mental health and substance abuse issues and the organization has on multiple prior occasions attempted to help him get professional treatment,” the organization told us in a statement.
They continued … “At this time, UFC believes Mr. Pena needs to deal with the health and legal issues in front of him, and consequently has informed Mr. Pena’s management that his promotional agreement has been terminated.”
In a 911 call TMZ obtained, Pena’s GF is heard telling the dispatch operator … “I really need the cops to come and get him out now. I have scratches and bruises all over me from him, I need him gone. I’m done, and I need help, please.”
Earlier in 2021, he was charged with robbery by sudden snatching, battery, and criminal mischief when he assaulted his girlfriend. He reportedly became enraged by her looking at other men on Instagram, and Pena allegedly struck her and broke her phone. He still faces up to five years in prison for that particular crime.
