The Gypsy King may have finally closed the book on his rivalry with Deontay Wilder with a brutal 11th-round KO victory in Las Vegas.
Moments after the bout was called off, Fury headed to Wilder’s corner to give him props for his herculean effort. Unfortunately, he was met with an upset Wilder who repeatedly said: “No love.
“You got beat fair and square tonight. That’s it. I respect you because I’m a man.”
Former WBC champ Wilder then said: “I won’t respect you, I won’t respect you. I will never respect you.”
Before he ultimately walked away, Fury said: “Don’t show bad sport[manship], you lost fair and square.” Fury then turned his attention to Wilder’s co-manager, Shelly Finkel, and added “He’s got a bad hatred towards me, I don’t know why.”
“But let me tell you, he lost like a man tonight. He put me down three times, I had to put him down four. “
The 33-year-old further slamed Wilder for his terrible sportsmanship.
“He’s got no love for me Deontay Wilder, because I’ve beat him three times. I’m a sportsman, I went over to him to show some love and respect and he didn’t want to give it back. That’s his problem, I’ll pray for him so God will soften his heart.”
“We fought like two warriors and I went over to shake his hand and say well done and he was like, no I don’t respect you. How can you say I’ve cheated when you know in your own heart, and your whole team knows that you got beat fair and square, he’s just a sore loser in boxing, I’m sure he’s not the first one and he won’t be the last one”
