When you’re as rich as Tom Brady, you can collect pretty much anything you want, including luxury yachts. And trust me: Tom Brady’s boat collection is awfully impressive.
The former New England Patriots and current Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback has made headlines this past year for his purchase of a monstrous 77-foot luxury yacht. The football legend garnered a similar fuss in 2020 after he purchased a smaller—yet still impressive—boat from the same Dutch company.
With two major boat purchases in two years, it can be hard to keep track of Brady’s growing boat collection. Each of Tom Brady’s yachts has been broken down in detail below—from features, to specifications, to price.
Here’s everything to know about the GOAT’s impressive watercraft collection.
Tom Brady’s First Yacht
In an interview with the Dutch boatmaker Wajer, Brady stated that upon arrival to his new home in Tampa, the quarterback looked out over Old Hillsborough Bay and said, “I need a boat.” Come fall of 2020, Brady had purchased the Wajer 55 S, a luxury 53-foot yacht.

The Wajer 55 S is a sporty model, designed to slice through the water for a smooth ride across the waves. With a top speed of 40 knots, Brady can leave his rivals behind in the water just as he does on the field. Seating nearly half a dozen passengers, the Wajer 55 S is the perfect boat for the quarterback’s family and friends. Plus, the sleek finish is just fit for a man of Brady’s status.
Price
While the exact price Brady paid for the Wajer 55 S is unknown, the boat is reportedly worth roughly $2-million. This hefty price tag is likely next to nothing for Brady, who was in the middle of a two-year $50 million deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The future Hall of Famer has made more than $200 million in NFL contracts alone. When combined with the money he makes from sponsorship deals, the cost of the boat would have barely made a dent in his bank account.
Tom Brady Boat Controversy
Many fans took issue with the boat’s price at the time of its purchase. At the beginning of the pandemic, Brady’s nutrition and wellness company, TB12 Inc., was given a $1 million Paycheck Protection Program loan from the government.
Shortly after the PPP loan was awarded, Brady made his purchase of the yacht. This upset many NFL fans, as they felt the loan would have been better spent on a small business—one that wasn’t owned by someone who could easily purchase a boat with a multi-million dollar price tag.
In addition to the criticism surrounding the price of the boat, Brady also received some backlash for the boat’s name. Dubbed “Viva a Vida,” the boat was named after the environmental organization run by Brady’s wife, Giselle Bündchen. Fans on Twitter did not approve of the name, especially since Tom Brady’s boat was carbon-powered, and consumes 34 gallons per hour of diesel at just 25 knots. This seemed disingenuous to many fans, as the boat is essentially harmful to the environment.
Brady also brought the Wajer 55 S to the Buccaneers’ celebratory floating parade shortly after their Super Bowl LV win, where he led hundreds of fans down a river in honor of their record-breaking triumph. In a viral video that surfaced after the event, Brady can be seen throwing the Lombardi Trophy off of his yacht and into the waiting arms of other parade-goers across several feet of open water.
Tom Brady’s 2nd Yacht
While Brady had only just purchased the Wajer 55 S in the fall of 2020, the quarterback decided it just wasn’t big enough for the longer trips he and his family take to the Bahamas. In May 2021, Brady purchased the Dutch-made Wajer 77—a 77-foot yacht fit for a king. Brady stated that “the little bit bigger boat, for us, the 77 allows us to sleep overnight really comfortably. Those weekend trips will be great memories for our family for years to come.”
Wajer 77 Yacht Features
The Wajer 77 features four separate cabins, each with ensuite bathrooms; just enough room for nine passengers and two crew members. The luxury craft also offers state-of-the-art enhancements, such as a deck cooling system, an automatic roof, an electronically-adjustable deck, and a hybrid fender system.
Sun pads, spacious seating, and a dining area provide plenty of space for Brady and his family to spend hours on the water. Plus, this Tom Brady boat comes equipped with everything the Brady family needs for a fun day out on the water, including electrical jet surfboards, kiteboarding gear, diving equipment, and a jet ski.
With a top speed of 37 knots, this massive boat can still cut across waves similar to the Wajer 55. And its ergonomic design makes for a smooth, comfortable ride. The brand has also claimed the Wajer 77 to be its quietest model yet, providing a peaceful, uninterrupted boating experience.
Price Of Tom Brady’s Current Boat
The 77-foot yacht did not come without a price, even for Tom Brady. Currently standing at $6 million, the boat is three times more expensive than the Wajer 55 S. With such a hefty price tag, it’s plausible to assume this massive watercraft was Brady’s gift to himself after winning his seventh Super Bowl. No matter the reason behind the purchase, the yacht is dripping with luxury. Needless to say, it establishes a high standard for Brady’s next boat to reach.
Brady has put Wajer on the map with his loyalty to the boatmaker. While the Wajer 77 is significantly larger than the Wajer 55 S, both of Tom Brady’s boats are exceptional luxury yachts that are sure to provide a seamless boating experience. Plus, Brady’s home in Tampa makes it easy to get out on the water for extended trips to the Bahamas. Whatever Wajer comes up with next, it’ll have to be top of the line to satisfy the tastes of Tommy.
Tom Brady Boat Collection & More
It seems like the GOAT is just getting started when it comes to the luxurious world of watercraft. Tom Brady’s boat collection is already impressive. And it’ll probably continue to get even better, as he continues to win Super Bowls and MVP awards.
