Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots went up to Buffalo over the weekend and completely embarrased themselves in a 47-17 playoff loss that wasn’t even as close as that blowout score would indicated.
Josh Allen and the Bills offense were simply surgical as they scored a TD on their first seven drives before taking a knee the eighth and final time they had the ball. After the game, the two head coaches met at the middle of the field to the do the customary handshake, but Bill Belichick didn’t appear interested in spending much time there.
Social media was not happy about how the New England legend treated Bills head coach Sean McDermott.

The two were cordial last year after the Bills defeated the Patriots twice in 2020, but things have seemingly taken a bitter turn after the Week 13 meeting. Belichick and offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels only allowed rookie quarterback Mac Jones an opportunity to throw three passes the entire game and still won.
The Bills were extremely salty after the game. McDermott made a point to diminish some of the credit members of the media were bestowing upon Belichick. Following Buffalo’s loss in Week 13, McDermott said, “Let’s not give more credit than we need to give credit to Bill Belichick in this one.” It came off as petulant considering Belichick’s Patriots just won the game.
Belichick clearly never forgot what he said.
