Tom Brady is getting a lot of love after officially announcing on Tuesday that he’s retiring from the National Football League after 22 years. The 44-year-old legendary quarterback’s many celebrity friends and fans have weighed in, and that even includes his ex, actress Bridget Moynahan.
Moynahan, who shares her 14-year-old son, Jack, with Brady, took to Instagram to share some kind words.
“So proud of @tombrady,” she wrote. “Yesterday and today and I know you will do great things tomorrow. Looking forward to the next steps.”
Brady and Moynihan spent three years together from 2004-2006. They would split and Brady went on to date and marry supermodel Gisele Bundchen.
Brady, who led the Bucs to a Super Bowl title last season and NFC South championship this season, has been adamant for weeks that he never wanted a “farewell season.”
After 20 seasons with New England that had already cemented his legacy, Brady joined the Bucs in March 2020 and immediately added his final Super Bowl victory in his very first season with the team.
Brady leaves behind a illustrious career where he piled up career records such as most touchdown passes (624) and most passing yards (84,250) in his 22 seasons.
