The Indianapolis Colts desperately need a quarterback.
Since the Indianapolis Colts traded Carson Wentz to the Washington Commanders, the franchise is on tap to have their sixth starting QB to begin the season for the 6th straight season.
Here’s the last five starting quarterbacks for the Colts: Scott Tolzien (2017), Andrew Luck (2018), Jacoby Brissett (2019), Philip Rivers (2020) and Carson Wentz (2021).
Colts linebacker Darius Leonard, who has played under four quarterbacks already in his four years, took to Twitter to say, “Here we go again,” he said in the Tweet. “About to be 5 years with the Colts and 5 different QBs.”
Luckily for him, Pat McAfee knows the right man for the job.
On Thursday, the former Colts punter discussed the Colts’ QB situation on “The Pat McAfee Show” and gave a very interesting name to takeover in Indy.
Kirk Cousins? Minnesota brass has every reason to explore a trade as the QB is due a whopping $45M in 2022. This past season, Cousins recorded 4,221 passing yards, 33 touchdowns and seven interceptions while completing 66.3-percent of his passes.
However, he is a borderline top-10 QB in the league who really cannot be trusted much.
The Colts’ 2022 starting quarterback is still to be determined, although rumors are already circulating that Jimmy Garoppolo could be headed to Indy.
