Cleveland sports has not been historically great aside from having LeBron James on the Cavaliers for numerous years that resulted in many Finals appearances and one victory.
This year, the Cleveland Cavaliers did something that hadn’t done since the 1997-98 season. The team finished with a winning record without having LeBron James on the roster.
However, things started to go bad when a few injuries on the team dropped the team down in the standings and they were forced to play in the play-in tournament. On Friday night, the Cavs got eliminated at home by the Atlanta Hawks, but the future looks bright.
Cleveland Browns pass rusher Myles Garrett took to Twitter to congratulate the Cavs on a solid season, but also dropped a stern warning for the sports world.
“Cavs had a helluva a year and Cleveland sports is gonna be scary next year…” the superstar DE wrote.
The Cavs are building around a solid unit of Darius Garland and Evan Mobley and things are only looking up from here. The Guardians have been to the playoffs four times in the last seven years.
For the Browns, they traded for QB Deshaun Watson and looking like a squad who can compete for a Super Bowl.
Cleveland sports has never looked better.
