The Kardashian Curse is no laughing matter. It has ruined the careers of several athletes while also denying countless cities of championships that their teams likely would have won — if not for one of their players striking up a relationship with a member of the Kardashian/Jenner family.
Well, what if we told you that the Kardashian Curse was not a curse at all? What if we told you that it was actually an intentional ploy, set-up by Kris Jenner and the Kardashian ladies in an attempt to keep their brand and reality show relevant?
Creating “horror stories” and ‘ruining athletes’ lives’ is an addiction of Kris Jenner’s, according to her former bodyguard, Mark Behar, who recently spoke with In Touch Weekly.
Mark Behar told In Touch, “Kris is addicted to horror. Kris has ruined so many athletes’ lives. Look at Lamar, she ruined his life and she nearly destroyed Scott.”
He continued, “You’ve got to understand that with this family, that if your fame goes down they don’t have a story. Kris is addicted to fame and the horror stories keep them going. They go after people they use to make them bigger stars.”
He did have a few nicer words for Kourtney Kardashian.
“The only Kardashian that doesn’t have drama is Kourtney,” he added “She’s always been fine. She looks good, she presents herself good, she dresses good, doesn’t wear a whole ton of makeup.” He went on to say, “She doesn’t follow any of her sisters unless they’re doing a photo shoot or something like that for the show and she’s liable. Why can’t any of the family be the same way? They live in the house of horrors.”
Based on their track record, it’s hard to deny Behar’s claims. Just think about the long list of people affected by the Kardashian Curse. Behar already mentions Lamar Odom (whose struggles with addiction are well-documented) and Scott Disick.
Other notable athletes who have been hit by the “curse” include Kris Humphries, Reggie Bush, Ben Simmons, James Harden, Tristan Thompson and, most recently, Devin Booker. Could all of these men seriously be victims by mere coincidence? It seems a little fishy when you think about it…
And if Kris has her way, I’m sure that list will continue to grow over time.
