Aaron Rodgers says he had the best season of his life all thanks to a psychedelic drug called ayahuasca.
“I really feel like that experience paved the way for me to have the best season of my career,” Rodgers said in the Aubrey Marcus Podcast this week.
This was a wild admission that came out of nowhere.
The plant-based psychedelic contains DMT, an illegal substance in the United States and on the list of the NFL’s banned substances. Rodgers said he took the drugs on a trip to Peru in 2020.
Skip Bayless – a noted Aaron Rodgers critic – couldn’t help but to make a playoff-related joke upon finding out this information.
“Apparently, ayahuasca has only regular-season benefits,” Bayless said.
While Rodgers is a sure-fire Hall of Famer after he retires, the Packers record in playoff games he started is 11-10.
The 38-year-old quarterback has one Super Bowl and he has not been back to the big one since he won. This past postseason, the Packers were eliminated from the NFL playoffs following a last-second loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
