There is no doubt that Justin Herbert is a very good quarterback, but has he already proved himself to be better than Peyton Manning and Ben Roethlisberger after just two seasons in the NFL?
Former NFL player Ryan Harris is making a bold claim this week that has turned heads.
“Justin Herbert is the best quarterback I’ve ever seen, and I played with Peyton Manning and Ben Roethlisberger.
This guy is unbelievable…I’m telling you, Justin Herbert is the best quarterback I’ve ever seen. It’s unbelievable what he does. It is something that’s only going to continue to increase. He’s got the most talented arm in the NFL.”
The Los Angeles Chargers are a team that is very slowly starting to emerge as a legitimate contender for a Super Bowl title. They went 5-11 in 2019, 7-9 in 2020 and 9-8 in 2021, narrowly missing out on the playoffs in the final game of the season when the Las Vegas Raiders beat them on a field goal as time expired in overtime.
They have added some incredible players on defense such as Bobby Wagner and Khalil Mack.
Having been taken with the #6 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, Herbert had to wait a bit before he stepped onto the field in the NFL as a starter, and it happened when starting quarterback Tyrod Taylor was accidentally injured by the team’s doctor before a game against the Chiefs.
So far in his career, he’s managed to put up 9,350 passing yards and 69 touchdowns.
