Marquette King last played in the NFL for the Denver Broncos in 2018. He is now trying to make it back in 2022.
The former Oakland Raiders punter took to Twitter to pitch his services to the Bills after the team waived punter Matt Araiza amid sexual assault allegations.
According to Syracuse.com’s Ryan Talbot, the Bills have “reached out” to see if he’s in condition for a comeback.
Buffalo released Araiza two days after a civil lawsuit was filed accusing him and two former San Diego State teammates of raping a 17-year-old girl.
King spent six years with the Raiders prior to that and led the NFL in total punting yards in 2014. He was also named a Second-Team All-Pro in 2018.
The 33-year-old led the XFL in punting when the league attempted a comeback in 2020. He accepted an invitation earlier this month to join the 2023 XFL Draft Player Pool.
