My name is Frazer “FrazzleDazzle” Day, I was born Bermondsey, London in 1989 and have lived in the city all my life. I attend University Of The Arts London, where I’m currently studying Sports Journalism. AnthonyP Total Pro Sports contacted me and asked whether I would be interested in writing about Boxing and MMA for the website. An opportunity I couldn’t refuse as its perfect for me to develop as a burgeoning Sports Writer.
Boxing and MMA are mainly the sports I focus on for Total Pro Sports, but I will dip my fingers in the other sports from time to time.
Sports has been in the blood since birth with my Dad being a pushy father, thank God or I could be writing about dancing instead. A particular sporting memory that sticks out for me was underdog Ricky “The Hitman” Hatton’s knock out win over pound for pound great Kostya Tszyu. I was at the MEN Arena in Manchester in 2005 and the raw emotion felt in the arena after Tszyu failed to come out for the 12th round will live long in the memory.
I also attending UFC 75 in London were Quinton “Rampage” Jackson defeated Dan Henderson by Unanimous decision to unify the UFC and Pride Light Heavyweight championships, and saw England‘s own Michael Bisping defeat Matt Hamill by a hotly contested decision. The event was a spectacle which saw UFC bring the glitz and glamour of an American showcase to England, one which I will never forget.
The events were expensive but I will never complain because I was lucky enough to see them live, I hope you enjoy my writings as Total Pro Sports.
