Before Joke Paul and Anderson Silva took to the ring for their highly-anticipated bout on Showtime tonight, professional boxers Ashton Sylve and Braulio Rodriguez were scheduled to entertain fans with their undercard fight.
However, it seems like they were only interested in making a quick bout, as Sylve knocked out Rodriguez with what appeared to be a phantom punch.
Take a look and you be the judge:
Rodriguez was on the offensive, but then all of a sudden he was on the ground.
I’ve watched this clip over and over and I still can’t tell which punch was the knockout blow. There’s no doubt that Sylve has some lightning-quick hands, but I wasn’t the only one struggling to figure out exactly what caused Rodriguez to to get KO’d.
Many took to twitter to call out Braulio Rodriguez for taking a dive:
With the win, Sylve improves to 8-0, with all eight of his victories coming via knockout.
