The DNR said the boat was being towed in Landshark Cove near Margaritaville. Rescue boat crew members initially said five patients needed medical attention and that flames reached as high as five feet.
The fire was put out with a portable pump and the help of Gainesville Fire’s Marine Rescue vessel. It was no longer aflame when it was pulled to shore.
