JD Vance was one of the last visitors of Pope Francis before the Pope passed away on Monday, aged 88.
After battling with a prolonged respiratory illness and age-related issues, Pope Francis passed away recently.
However, after his passing, there are a ton of speculations running around his death. And most of them are leading to the U.S. Vice President Vance.
Before Pope Francis’s final public appearance, he surprisingly met with the US Vice-President. Their meeting at the Domus Santa Marta guest house came just hours before the pontiff’s death.
Today I met with the Holy Father Pope Francis. I am grateful for his invitation to meet, and I pray for his good health.

During this encounter, they exchanged Easter greetings, and Francis presented Vance with rosaries, a Vatican tie, and chocolate Easter eggs for his children.
Despite Vance’s relatively recent conversion to Roman Catholicism and his outspoken faith, their meeting was unexpected. And it was surprising as well, given their previous public disagreements regarding immigration policies under the Trump administration.

Pope Francis had publicly criticized mass deportations as damaging to human dignity. The Pope had rejected Vance’s claims, justifying these actions through a theological concept known as ordo amoris.
However, people from around the world started sending their thoughts on the passing of his holiness. One specific post from Vance’s official X(formerly Twitter) account is picking up pace.
Social media followers are pointing out the coincidence of the Vice President being the last person to visit Pope Francis before his soul left his body.
