Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, the lone survivor of the recent Air India crash, might be the luckiest man to have ever lived.
The plane bound for London carrying 242 people crashed shortly after take-off in western India on Thursday. Air India Flight 171, a Boeing 787-8, came down in the residential area of Meghani Nagar five minutes after taking off. Footage posted to social media showed the aircraft rapidly losing altitude before it hit a building and exploded into a ball of fire.
Ramesh just happened to be in the best seat at the time.
Vishwash Kumar Ramesh claims he escaped almost certain death after jumping off the passenger plane as it burst into flames in the Indian city of Ahmedabad.
Vishwash, who was in seat 11A on the doomed plane, only appeared to have a slight limp in footage released to social media.
The moment that sole survivor escaped has now been released.
You can see the fireball and black smoke as he comes out of the same area where the Air India flight crashed.

Air India Owner Has To Shell Out Millions After Accident

Air India has confirmed how much it will compensate the families of the 242 victims on board the fatal plane crash.
The Tata Group, which bought the airline three years ago, has been trying to improve operations at a time of great change in India’s aviation market. Now, they are facing one of the worst tragedies that has ever happened, and it’s going to cost them big time.
Tata Sons will offer around £86,000 – or 10 million rupees – to the families of those who were killed after the Boeing 787 plane destined for London.
There is no word on what the survivor will end up getting.
