Joe Rogan clapped back at Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders after the latter made comments about Elon Musk’s lucrative donation to Donald Trump in the 2024 United States presidential election.
The 57-year-old Joe Rogan has used his platform and podcast to promote various political debates. Rogan has endorsed candidates from both parties, including Bernie Sanders for the 2020 election and Donald Trump in 2024.
Sanders ran for President in the 2016 and 2020 elections, losing the Democratic Party nominations to Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden, respectively. Vice President Kamala Harris was named the nominee for the 2024 election after Biden announced in the summer that he wouldn’t seek re-election.
During his appearance on “The Joe Rogan Experience”, Sanders criticized Elon Musk’s giant donation that helped Trump defeat Harris in the November election.
“He (Elon) spent $270 million to elect Trump as president,” Sanders told Rogan. “I think that’s absurd.”
When Joe Rogan shot back by asking Sanders the most money one person “donated towards the Harris campaign,” the Senator replied, “They spent a lot of money on her.”
Rogan reminded Sanders of the astronomical number, telling him, “They spent $1.5 billion in the course of a couple of months.”

In January, the Washington Post reported that Elon Musk’s donations to Donald Trump’s campaign totaled $288 million. Musk relaxed the rules on X/Twitter about misinformation and conspiracy theories and spread plenty of it himself, much to the benefit of Trump in the 2024 election.
Joe Rogan Has Been Critical Of Donald Trump’s Second Term

Though Rogan endorsed Trump for the 2024 election, he’s been awfully critical of the President since the 79-year-old took office in January. Specifically, Rogan questioned why Trump started a feud with Canada (he thinks they should become the 51st state) and called his ICE raids policy “f**king” nuts.
