Luigi Mangione’s popularity continues to grow following his arrest for the murder of former UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson late last year.
Mangione remains behind bars but has been getting plenty of support from the outside, with lots of money having been raised to help pay for his legal fees, according to reports, while female fans keep him inundated with letters.
The 26-year-old is also set to be the subject of a new musical set to premiere in San Francisco in June.
Playbill reports that the show, ‘Luigi: The Musical,’ will debut at the Taylor Street Theater and run from June 13 to June 28. But if you’re just learning about this and have an interest in going, it’s already too late.
Tickets to the event are already sold out, although the event’s official website has announced they plan to add new dates.
Luigi Mangione Will Be Joined By Two Other High-Profile Inmates

Mangione isn’t the only prisoner who will be depicted in the musical, given that Sam Bankman-Fried and Sean “Diddy” Combs are in the same facility as he is.

That does explain how they sold out so fast, but it would still be foolish to doubt Mangione’s selling power. There are many people out there who would break him out of prison without a moment’s hesitation if they could.
“While the setup is absurd, it’s also rooted in a strange truth: these three men were indeed incarcerated at the same facility,” the description reads. “That unlikely fact sparked our team’s creative exploration.”
The producers add that the show does not celebrate violence or seek to pass judgment on an ongoing matter. They have also extended sympathies to Thompson’s family.
‘Luigi: The Musical’ will run for 60 minutes and will “use satire to ask deeper cultural questions.”
Whether or not answers will be provided to those questions remains unknown.
