As critics slammed President Trump for slashing aid programs on the same day, Melania’s fashion drew both admiration and backlash. “Why does this matter?” one commenter said.

While Trump wore his signature navy suit and a light blue tie, Melania kept it classic, a slim white shirt, tailored, and pristine. It wasn’t loud. But it was loud enough.
Still, fashion wasn’t her only focus. She marked the day with a message of unity. “This Independence Day, we will celebrate our heroes and their families at the @WhiteHouse,” she posted. “Let’s honor the sacrifices of our military families as we come together in gratitude and joy.”

Later in the weekend, she also addressed a tragedy unfolding in Texas. “My heart goes out to the parents in Texas during this difficult time,” she wrote. “I am holding you in my thoughts and sending prayers for strength, comfort, and resilience.”
The Trumps celebrated the holiday with a White House picnic and dramatic military flyovers featuring F-22s, F-35s, and a B-2 bomber. But Melania’s elegant, sky-high, and unapologetically luxurious shoes turned more heads than any jet roaring overhead.
