
New details and passenger videos have emerged of the horrifying plane crash that transpired at the Toronto Pearson Airport on Monday afternoon.
After 2:00 p.m. EST on Monday, news emerged of a Delta Air Lines plane crashing at the Toronto Pearson Airport. Viral videos of the horrific scene showed the plane on the ground upside down. The plane was flying into Toronto from Minneapolis, Minnesota.
According to Global News, 18 people, including one child, were injured in the crash. Global was told that the child was been taken to the local Sick Kids Hospital “critical injuries,” and that two adult patients were hospitalized with “critical injuries.”
Canadian Minister of Transport Anita Anand reported that the plane was carrying 80 passengers, all of which have been accounted for. The flight’s crew have also been accounted for, per multiple reports.

A passenger on the flight shared video footage of the terrifying ordeal, including a clip of them being upside down. The visibly shaken passenger also showed a video of the plane on the ground:

Officials have yet to announce a possible cause for the crash, though multiple reports state that there were wind gusts of up to 30-50 at the airport in the afternoon with blowing snow.

Toronto Pearson Airport Flights Have Resumed

At 5:00 p.m. EST, officials announced that arriving and departing flights were resuming at the airport. After the crash, several flights had been diverted to airports in Montreal and Ottawa.
