Affidavits claim Demetrius approached the youth on March 26 and gave him $250 as a “down payment for the job.”
Police are said to have obtained a recording of a phone conversation between Demetrius and the student in which she told him he did not have to worry about getting the rest of the money.
She is also alleged to have informed the juvenile of when their children would be out of the house, as her ex-husband worked from home, telling him “they don’t care about their neighbors” after he raised concerns about folks nearby possibly hearing gunfire.

Stephanie Demetrius was arraigned on Thursday and denied the accusations, claiming it was all fabricated. Her lawyer insisted that she was looking forward to the opportunity to prove her innocence in court.
Bond was set at $150,000, and Demetrius was asked to comply with the terms of a previous protection order filed against her. She was also told to stay away from the student involved in the case.
Asked whether she had any questions, she asked, “Who is the juvenile involved in this case?”
