A new video showing a different angle of the helicopter that crashed into the Hudson River in NewYork on Thursday afternoon, splitting in the air before going down and killing six people.
The craft was carrying a family of five who were on a sightseeing tour.
According to reports, Siemens executive Agustin Escobar, his wife, Merce Camprubi Montal, and their three children all perished in the horrific crash.
The helicopter company posted photos of the family smiling after boarding the helicopter right before it took off. They left a downtown heliport around 3:00 PM, with the flight lasting 18 minutes.
Unfortunately, disaster struck while they were in the air. The chopper split into pieces while above the Hudson River, going down into the water. Radar data shows it flew north along the Manhattan skyline and then south toward the Statue of Liberty before breaking apart and crashing.

Eyewitnesses Describe Hudson River Crash

Michael Roth, the helicopter’s owner, told the Wall Street Journal he has no idea what caused the crash and hasn’t seen anything like it in his three decades-plus in the business.
Dani Horbiak, an eyewitness, was inside her house in New Jersey when she heard what sounded like “several gunshots,” per the Associated Press. She looked out of her window and saw the helicopter “splash in several pieces into the river.”
Another eyewitness, Lesley Camacho, a hostess at a restaurant along the river, says the chopper was spinning uncontrollably and smoking as it went down into the water.
Rescue boats were on the scene in mere minutes, but no one was saved from the wreckage, with six lifeless bodies being recovered from the river.
The helicopter was retrieved by 8:00 PM.
