A teacher from the UK has reportedly been fired following some bizarre allegations.
According to a report from the Telegraph, Alice Ashton was accused of drinking alcohol during one of her classes at the Ysgol Bro Caereinion school in Welshpool, Wales, last January, also swearing at students, and asking them to dance the Macarena.
Ashton is said to have been drinking from a water bottle holding orange liquid, which smelled like alcohol, while blaring music from a laptop. Students also claimed she called them “little s**ts” and had her middle finger a few inches away from a teenager’s face.
“Alice Ashton, 31, allegedly called her class “little s—-” and asked pupils to “dance the Macarena” during a class in January last year,” the publication noted.
Alice Ashton Was Usually A “Boring” Teacher

It appears this was all out of character for the educator, who was described as usually reserved and quiet. Her classes on alcohol and drug awareness were usually “boring,” according to a student who spoke to the Education Workforce Council Wales panel.

“She was very, very close to us. There was a slight alcoholic smell,” one pupil said. “She was very, very lively and quite animated and speaking with her hands. In other lessons, she was more reserved and quiet.”
The council heard that Alice Ashton asked the class to dance to the Macarena while playing music from her laptop.
Her actions came just four months after she was convicted of drunk driving.
According to students, the suspicious bottle was nearly empty by the end of the class.
For her part, she has denied swearing at the students in an internal review conducted by the school, but multiple eyewitnesses told a different story.
