Donald Trump has never shied away from praising his children, but his latest comments about Barron Trump’s tech skills have sparked a wave of online reactions. In a recent interview with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham, the president spoke about his youngest son’s aptitude for technology, admitting that Barron has outsmarted him when it comes to computers.
Trump, 77, recounted an anecdote in which he tried to shut down Barron’s laptop, only to find it back on moments later. “I turn off his laptop, I said, ‘Oh good,’ and I go back about five minutes later, he’s got his laptop, I say, ‘How do you do that?’” Trump shared, adding that Barron coolly responded, “None of your business, dad.”

Social Media Reactions Pour In

It didn’t take long for social media users to latch onto the exchange, with many mocking Trump for being so easily impressed by his son’s basic tech skills. Critics questioned whether Trump’s amazement at Barron’s ability to restart a laptop was a sign of his lack of technological proficiency.
One user quipped, “Oh wow! His smart child can turn his iPad on and off. Brilliant!”

Despite the jokes, Trump maintained that Barron is highly intelligent and has a strong aptitude for technology. The 19-year-old, currently studying business at New York University’s Stern School of Business, reportedly played a role in Trump’s campaign by advising him on engaging first-time voters and selecting the right podcasters and YouTubers to appear with.
While social media had fun, Donald Trump remains confident in Barron’s future. Whether he follows in his father’s footsteps or carves out a different path, one thing is clear, he’s already making an impact, laptop skills and all.
