Resorts World Las Vegas is receiving immense criticism after a viral video surfaced of the staff denying a comped drink to a high roller dropping $25,000 per bet at the blackjack table.
Popular social media personality Cody Burnett, also known as Xposed, recently posted a video of himself and some friends playing blackjack at Resorts World Las Vegas, one of Sin City’s most popular casinos.
Folks who’ve gone to casinos in Las Vegas know that staff members usually hand out complimentary beverages to the customers, including alcohol. Free drinks are always a treat for visitors, but it’s a smart strategy by casinos to convince patrons to stick around longer and wager more money. And as everyone knows, the casinos win far more often than not.
In Burnett’s recently posted video, a Resorts World Las Vegas staffer can be heard taking drink orders from the blackjack players. One player asks for a strawberry banana smoothie, only to be asked if he has a room at the resort.
“Um, sure, you have a room with us?” the server asks, prompting the high roller to respond with “Nope.”
The server then tells the customer he could speak to the casino manager if he wants, and the group at the table agrees.

To think that the casino, apparently, would rather give out complimentary alcoholic beverages but charge for smoothies. All we can say is that this isn’t a good look on their end from a PR perspective.
Resorts World Las Vegas Has Already Suffered Significant Losses In 2025

The venue was hit with a $10.5 million fine after an investigation found that illegal gambling and money laundering were taking place at the casino. .
