Volodymyr Zelenskyy has been in hot water with the United States and Russia. The Ukrainian President got into a heated war of words with President Donald Trump last month during a meeting in the Oval Office.
Ukraine and Russia had already been at war for over three years at this point. That meeting between Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelenskyy only intensified things as Trump is known to be quite close to the Russian leader.
Trump has been a steady negotiator as he aims to end the war between the two countries for good. Recently, there has been a small start, as Russian defense minister Rustem Umerov called for a partial and temporary cease-fire over the Black Sea.
While this may be a small win for all three sides, the Ukrainian President seems to be taking things with a grain of salt. In a recent interview, Zelenskyy had a strong message for the American President.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy Issues Warning To Both Trump And Putin
“If the Russians violate this, then I have a direct question for President Trump,” Zelenskyy told reporters. “If they violate, here is the evidence – we ask for sanctions, we ask for weapons, etc.” In a following interview, he made a scary claim amid Putin’s reported health issues.
“He will die soon, that’s a fact, and it will come to an end,” suggesting that all the war between the two countries will likely end if or when Putin passes away. It’s unclear whether or not the Russian President is suffering from any health issues, although it was reported via many sources that he may have tremors and a limp.

While Zelenskyy may hope things end soon, it’s not all guaranteed. However, it seems the French President will remain on the Ukrainian side if things escalate soon.
