
70-year-old sensation Roshni Sangwan has gone viral online following a video in which she’s seen performing a 227-pound deadlift.
Sangwan probably has no business being in the gym at 70, but here she is lifting weight that would prove a challenge for plenty who are half her age.

Roshni Sangwan Hasn’t Been At This Very Long

The amazing thing about this is that Roshni Sangwan saw the inside of a gym for the first time at 60 years old. She started working out after she was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in her left knee following a slipping accident in a bathroom that also injured her back.
She started working out on afternoons with the aim of getting stronger and becoming more flexible after her son suggested that she join the gym, and she soon realized she enjoyed being in the gym.
She goes by the name @weightliftermummy on Instagram.
Roshni also had a 20-year-old hand injury from a failed operation and a muscle tear in her right hand.
“Doctors said she wouldn’t be able to pick up a comb,” her son, Ajay, recalled.
By the looks of things, it doesn’t appear she has any difficulty using her right hand either. And she can definitely pick up a comb.
A trip through her Instagram page revealed that she can lift 176 pounds on a traditional deadlift, squat 110 pounds, and leg press 264 pounds. She works out for 1.5-2 hours daily, also incorporating cardio into her workout.
