While the move raised a few eyebrows, insiders weren’t exactly shocked. After all, Trump’s well-documented fondness for fast food, especially McDonald’s, is no secret.
Trump worked as the fry cook at a McDonald’s in Pennsylvania during a campaign stop in the crucial swing state in October 2024. Around that time, he had openly questioned whether Kamala Harris had actually worked at McDonald’s as the Democratic presidential nominee had claimed.

Trump’s four-day trip across the Middle East marks his first major international mission since returning to office.
This was more than just a food trip. While in the country, the US and Saudi Arabia signed an almost $142 billion defense sales agreement that provides Riyadh with state-of-the-art equipment and services from US firms, the White House said.
The defense deal is part of a $600 billion Saudi investment commitment for the US, the White House said in a fact sheet.

It’s well known that President Donald Trump loves a Big Mac.
He famously served fast food at White House banquets during his first term. He also did so with sports teams.
Trump hosted the Clemson University Tigers football team at the White House to celebrate their national championship win in 2019. Due to a partial government shutdown, many White House staff, including kitchen staff, were furloughed.
As a result, Trump decided to serve the team fast food, including items from McDonald’s, Wendy’s, and Burger King, such as Big Macs, Quarter Pounders, fries, and pizza.
President Trump also served the North Dakota State football team fast food during their visit to celebrate their national title.
