
Social media had all sorts of priceless reactions to a viral video of a race dog, Winston the Whippet, moving like a lightning bolt during a competition.
Every year, the American Kennel Club puts on the nationally televised “Fastest Dog USA” competition. A clip of Winston the Whippet (from Clarksburg, New Jersey) running during the 2022 games has resurfaced, and let’s just say that he’s the perfect candidate to reboot the popular “Air Bud” movie series:

The 2022 Fastest Dogs USA event was won by another Whippet named Reas (from Michigan City, Indiana). Rheas finished with a combined average time of 5.847 seconds and reached an insane 34.98 MPH speed. Reas had also won the 2021 event.
In the 2022 race, Winston the Whippet was second with a combined average time of 5.939 seconds (reaching a speed of 34.44 MPH).
Winston The Whippet For An “Air Bud” Reboot, Anyone?

For those who haven’t seen it, the “Air Bud” movie series is about a golden retriever named “Buddy” who stars on youth sporting teams involving his owners (the Framm family). Buddy shines in baseball, football, soccer, volleyball and basketball, becoming a can’t-miss sensation in his community.
