Cameras caught LIV Golf star Brooks Koepka exchanging words with a heckler during round two of the 2025 PGA Championship on Friday.
Brooks Koepka had a tough two-day outing at the PGA Championship, held at the Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina. The three-time PGA Champion finished with a score of nine-over, missing the weekend cut as his wait for a sixth major continues.
In 2022, Koepka left the PGA Tour to sign a lucrative deal with LIV Golf, reportedly worth over $100 million. He’s one of several former marquee PGA Tour players to leave for LIV Golf, along with the likes of Phil Mickelson, Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm, Sergio Garcia and Cameron Smith.
During Friday’s round, cameras caught a fan heckling Koepka over his disappointing performance in Charlotte. A fan can be heard shouting, “That’s what guaranteed money does to you, Brooks.”
A disgruntled Brooks Koepka looked over at the fan and asked him, “You wanna come down here and say it?”

Brooks Koepka Misses Out On Fourth PGA Championship

The 35-year-old Koepka is just one of six golfers to win the PGA Championship three times or more, having captured the crown in 2018, 2019 and 2023. A fourth victory at the tournament would put him in an exclusive club with Walter Hagen (five), Jack Nicklaus (five) and Tiger Woods (four) as the only golfers to win the tournament more than three times.
But Koepka, who also won the U.S. Open in 2017 and 2018, will need to discover his A-game if he’s going to seriously challenge for a sixth major.
