Tiger Woods’ son, Charlie, had an interesting message for the legendary golfer on Father’s Day that has folks wondering if there are some issues in their relationship.
Woods has two children with his ex-wife, Elin Nordegren. Their daughter, Alexis, was born in 2007. Two years later, Nordegren gave birth to Charlie, who has followed his father’s footsteps for a life on the greens.
Charlie, 16, attends The Benjamin School in Palm Beach County, Florida. Charlie and Tiger Woods have played in the PNC Championship (also known as the Father/Son Challenge) numerous times and finished as the runners-up in 2021 and 2024.
On Sunday, a video was posted of Charlie writing a powerful Father’s Day message for Tiger. There was, however, an interesting tidbit where Charlie admitted that there’s plenty of arguing in their relationship:
“Thank you, Dad, for believing in me in times when I didn’t even believe in myself, and for all the times when you have supported me no matter what I do. Even though we argue a lot, I still cherish every moment and I would just like to say thank you for everything you have done for me.”
Charlie is at the age where it’s common for kids to argue with their parents. But obviously, there’s bound to be plenty of arguing when he’s trying to carve out a successful career in the competitive world of professional golf.

It’s well-known that Tiger’s late father, Earl Woods, also went to great lengths to help him become a special golfer. Surely, Tiger can put himself in Charlie’s shoes and remember the stress and pressure of honing your craft at such a young age.
Tiger Woods Is Recovering From A Ruptured Achilles

In March, the 49-year-old Woods announced that he underwent surgery to repair a ruptured left Achilles tendon. This unfortunately sidelined Woods for each of the four majors in 2025, preventing him from adding to his career total of 15.
Given his age and lengthy injury history, it’s anybody’s guess when Tiger Woods will return to golf. It shouldn’t surprise anyone if he takes the rest of the year off and attempts to come back at full strength for the 2026 Masters.
