Golf influencer Paige Spiranac shared a bold take during the playing of The Masters.
Spiranac, a former professional golfer and now a dominant social media force, has once again ignited the internet.
On Sunday, Rory McIlroy won the 89th Masters tournament. McIlroy waited 11 years to break his major-win drought and, more importantly, etch his name alongside the five golf greats who collected the career Grand Slam with every major victory on their resume.
Following the moment, Spiranac had something to state about what she watched as well as other sporting events.
“Hot take, but I wish all sporting events banned phones. It was so special to see everyone enjoying the moment and being present,” Paige Spiranac wrote.

Augusta doesn’t have to worry about that.
Augusta National Golf Club, home of The Masters, strictly prohibits all electronic devices, including cell phones, on the tournament grounds.
According to USA Today, fans attending the event are required to check their devices at the gate, and violators risk being removed and banned from future events.
Nobody whines about it since it has been a long-standing rule that is rooted in tradition. Other sports would get major backlash these days.
