
Jordan Spieth is lucky he didn’t seriously send a fan to the hospital.
On his second shot of the day at the Memorial Tournament on Sunday, Spieth had everyone in shock with a shot that nearly killed a guy.
For one fan on Sunday, the Spieth experience was almost a really painful one as he came so close to hitting a spectator with a shot at the Memorial Tournament.
This all happened on the first hole of Sunday’s final round. He watched in horror as his ball almost struck some fans who made a terrible decision to stand basically right in his line.
Fans were lined up to his right, but a little further down, there was a patch of onlookers in a precarious spot.
They would quickly learn that standing there with Jordan Spieth is never a good idea.
Spieth hit his shot, and it ended up being a line drive right toward that group of fans. It almost hit one of them, but it sailed inches above their heads.

Thankfully, it did not hit any of them, but it was still too close for comfort.

Jordan Spieth Went From Sheer Terror To Unbelievably Lucky

A spectator at the Memorial Tournament narrowly avoided disaster on Sunday when a mis-struck Jordan Spieth shot came within a whisker of hitting him at high speed.
Spieth entered the final round in a tie for fourth place, five shots behind leader Scottie Scheffler.
On the first hole, Spieth tried to get the ball to the green from a tough lie in the deep rough at Muirfield Village. He missed terribly.
Spieth, who hasn’t won since the 2022 RBC Heritage, got up and down to miraculously save par on that same drive.
