Palestine Action, the group that vandalized President Donald Trump’s Turnberry golf course in South Ayrshire, Scotland, has put out a statement explaining their actions.
A month after Donald Trump proposed the idea of the United States taking over the Gaza Strip, Trump’s Turnberry golf course was vandalized by protestors from the United Kingdom-based Palestine Action group.
Photos of the vandalism on the golf course and resort surfaced on X/Twitter over the weekend. This included red spray-painted messages that read “Free Gaza and Free Palestine” on the resort’s entrance and a “Gaza Is Not 4 Sale” message on the course’s lawn:

Per Jonathan Limehouse of USA Today, a spokesperson for Palestine Action shared the following statement explaining why they vandalized President Donald Trump’s popular golf course:
“Palestine Action rejects Donald Trump’s treatment of Gaza as though it were his property to dispose of as he like. To make that clear, we have shown him that his own property is not safe from acts of resistance. We will continue to take action against US-Israeli colonialism in the Palestinian homeland.”
According to Sky News, police have arrested a 33-year-old male over the vandalism at Turnberry. His name has not been disclosed, with a police spokesperson telling the outlet that inquiries “remain ongoing.”

President Trump owns nearly two dozen golf courses worldwide and has close ties with prominent golfers such as Jack Nicklaus, Greg Norman and Tiger Woods.
