Amanda Balionis, the reporter rumored to have had an affair with Rory McIlroy, sent the golf stud a message after his Masters win.
Rory completed that elusive career grand slam on Sunday, beating Justin Rose in a one-hole playoff despite a poor start to the competition. He now has wins in all four major tournaments: the PGA Championship, the U.S. Open, the Open Championship, and now the Masters.
Balionis was among those who had something to say after the Irishman became just the sixth man to win all four tourneys, praising the achievement in an Instagram Story showing the moment McIlroy made the telling putt and captioning it, “History made.”
The CBS reporter was the subject of much discourse several months ago after rumors claimed she was in a relationship with the golfer while they were both out on tour.
The speculation has never been confirmed, nor has it been addressed by either party, but there was some very notable friction between Rory and his wife in 2024.

The 35-year-old filed for divorce last May after eight years of marriage to Erica Stoll, but just one month later, it was reported that they had put their differences aside and were staying together.
“Over the past weeks, Erica and I have realized that our best future was as a family together. Thankfully, we have resolved our differences and look forward to a new beginning,” he told reporters.
The U-turn hardly put the rumors to rest, as fans would note the awkwardness between Rory and Amanda while she interviewed him after a win at Pebble Beach in February.
But the new Green Jacket holder made sure to put his wife and their four-year-old daughter front and center after his victory on Sunday, posing for several photos with them.
