Scottie Scheffler has charged the LIV golfers who are hoping for a merger with the PGA Tour with fixing the mess themselves.
Scheffler, the current world No. 1 and new PGA Championship winner, has remained adamant that the defectors are responsible for reuniting the tours following their decision to depart.
There is a willingness to merge the golf leagues, though negotiations have been at a standstill for over a year.
Golfers on the LIV end have expressed frustration over missing out on the best tournaments due to the standstill, but Scheffler does not feel sorry for them.
Asked about the current impasse, the reigning PGA champ left it up to “the guys that left.”
“I have said it a few times this year. If you want to figure out what’s going to happen in the game of golf, go to the other tour and ask those guys,” he said.
"We had a tour where we all played together and the guys that left, it's their responsibility to bring the tours back together. Go see where they are playing this week and ask them."

“I’m still here playing the PGA Tour. We had a tour where we all played together and the guys that left, it’s their responsibility to bring the tours back together. Go see where they are playing this week and ask them,” he added.
Scottie Scheffler Has Been On An Impressive Run Since Watching Fellow Folfers Leave The Tour

Asked whether his outings in the majors might have suffered if he left for LIV, his response was neither here nor there.
“Who knows? I only get to compete against those guys four times a year,” he remarked. “That was their choice; not mine. We get four chances to compete against them. Last week went well. I get another chance here in a few weeks.”
Jon Rahm, who has been among LIV golfers to express annoyance at the lack of top competition, has had just two top-10 finishes in the majors since leaving the PGA Tour. He also hasn’t won a major or ranked in the top 5 since his exit, having boasted five top-10 finishes and two wins before he left.
Since then, Scottie Scheffler has recorded two wins and fine top-10 finishes.
