A Topgolf applicant has gone viral online after teeing off on the company for its unorthodox hiring practices, suggesting she was put through a humiliation ritual.
The female has sparked a widespread conversation across various platforms after accusing Topgolf of running a “church camp for adults” instead of implementing a professional recruitment process. In the video below, she claims that she and other applicants had to participate in a series of activities, including one where they were made to draw an airport to show their creativity.
They were asked to shout scripted words such as “Sweet, sweet!” and “Cool, cool!” enthusiastically and were even made to mimic animal sounds as she was asked to pretend to be a pterodactyl.
“I came to bartend,” she said. “Not to play pretend games and chant slogans.”
Having found the experience bizarre and humiliating, she quit after two days, citing the company’s irrelevant and childish exercises.
